Got 100k, I would like to generate some passive income. Any tips?
Dropping that in an ETF will lead to 6k+ income a year off of the investment.
That is enough of a yearly contribution that you can just cover your bills for the next 25 years, and then have enough to retire while withdrawing 30k a year from that. Check out r/coastFIRE.
Anything you add to the investment from that point is a bonus.
So, that’s my recommendation.
Edit: After looking at some calculations, you need like 25k more for this timeline to work out really, but still, the suggestion is the same. You could extend your time working to make that retirement schedule work or just (and this is my real recommendation) make sure to continue contributing to the investment while you are working so that you can maximize your retirement income. Getting past 125k will be the minimum, and you’re super close.
Invest it in something like VOO, SCHD, or QQQ depending on what your goals are; do some research on each.
Truly passive would be treasury bonds. Other than that, most everything is a risk and time-consuming.
How much are you trying to make from your money?
It’s a fairly generic response, but it works. We’re in the AI era, so it’s worth getting accustomed to tools like ChatGPT and others. Start building your digital presence, post content regularly, and adapt as you go. Over time, you’ll improve and create more impactful content.
Invest in established digital businesses that already earn a passive income. I have bought, developed, and sold eight so far! Best investments I’ve ever made.
Invest in some vending machines and fill them up with snacks and drinks from Costco.
