Any ideas on making money from this unused space?

Thinking of growing something like rose hips or lavender to sell at markets. It’s mostly sand behind a shed, but it does get some sunlight. Open to any ideas, thanks…

I’m in Queensland, Australia. Tried growing weed before and got in some trouble, so that’s a no-go.

Yeah, keep it casual.

@Dez
But not too casual.

Haha love it, but I see myself ending up in a ‘Breaking Bad’ situation, just without the cancer. I’m not cut out for that life.

@Storm
Have you thought about giving it a try? :joy:

How about dragon fruit? Take it to the farmers market.

You could try growing mushrooms or maybe just veggies. Either sell them or eat them and save some grocery money!

Could rent it out for off-street parking. People always need cheap parking spaces. Just check on insurance first.

Totally agree. Finding a spot to park a boat is always a hassle.

Why not put up solar panels and sell the electricity or power your own place?

I tried this for my apartment, but my electric company doesn’t pay for the power you generate. You only get a tax credit, which is nice but not ideal.

@Drew
If you get a lot of sun, you could use the energy for something like mining crypto. Set up solar panels, a battery backup, and you’re good to go.

You could cover it with rocks so you don’t have to mow. Then invest your money in the stock market.

Never put down rocks! Weeding through rocks is the worst thing ever.

My dad used to just torch the weeds with a propane flame.

@Haven
That’s brilliant.

Grow your own veggies or fruit! You can eat them or sell them.

Throw in a mattress and a porta potty and Airbnb it!

I’ve seen worse setups on Airbnb :joy:
