Any relatively easy way to make 100-200$ a month?

Hey, I’m looking to make some income (even around 100$ a month to start) from my home because there are not many jobs near me and I don’t have a car… so in general I would lean more into how to make money from home through not so regular ways… (finding a job from home here is also almost impossible, most of them are scams).

I’m a new developer, learning C.S degree but I’m very new, not something I can rely on or that will help me get a job in the industry yet.

But I would love to hear some of the ways that are possible to make some money from home within the IT field, (of course any other easy method that is not related and is reliable I would like to hear about as well), I know some people make websites, some make mods/scripts/plugins/shaders, but I guess those methods are way out of my league atm… is there any method you guys can recommend me to start and get money as soon as possible? even if it’s a little, if it’s reliable I would like to hear about it, I hope you guys can help me. :slight_smile:

Try Usertesting if its available in your country. You get paid to share your opinions, do UX testing for websites, etc… You could also do OneForma or UHRS… you rate search results/map results… See if you can get into those.

@Nico
It looks like I can sign in to Usertesting, I didn’t really understand what it is, I see people saying they did tests/online tests/interviews? Do I have to do these kinds of stuff? Or most tests are like without speaking and video and stuff. Will also check OneForma/UHRS sites, but either way, thanks for these suggestions!

@Thorne
Interviews with a researcher pay more… for me it ranges from $40-$60… unmoderated tests pay $10 for approximately 20-30 mins of work… the more you do this, the more efficient you are…

I prefer the one without ‘the interview/call’ so it’s $10 for 30 minutes? It’s kinda good for me, so it’s possible to make that way like over $100 a day? Or it’s not reliable?

@Thorne
You have to qualify… there are screeners, so you gotta take that into consideration as well… for me, there are days I get 4 $10 tasks done… some are less… I switch to Prolific for surveys or CloudConnect…

I will tell you what I am doing and this is not financial advice and may not be related to IT. My approach may be considered unorthodox and not many people are willing or open-minded enough to do what I am doing. I have two streams of passive income: 1. Print on Demand. 2. Crypto Yield Farming. Let’s talk about them.

  1. Print on Demand - you put initial effort by uploading work that will sell by itself passively on a platform. I upload artwork and design for Merch on Amazon and every time people buy the T-shirt I get royalty. I upload books (properly written for niche topics) on Kindle Direct and when people buy the books I get royalty. This is true passive income, unlike say other things that require frequent content uploads like blogs and vlogs. I earn around $300 a month on this.

  2. DeFi Yield Farming - I invest around $40,000 to get $100 per day or $3,000 per month. This may sound unusually high but that’s a norm in the DeFi space. Most people will get switched off by now because they have cognitive bias or lack understanding. Most people think cryptos are scams because they only read headlines or never research on good projects. Or they are better off chasing simple narratives like Bitcoin. DeFi can be complicated. I’ve been doing various different Yield farming for years, taking good money while they work their ass off or play with stocks and REITs. This takes experience and research. To summarize what is my better yield farming pick, I go to one of the safer DEX endorsed by a major crypto company. The platform is Aerodrome, which has major investment by Coinbase. I choose liquidity pools that have highly APR and they are usually concentrated volatile pools. When I put a pair of coins, I choose the coins that have a general close correlation to each other. I stretch out over the ticks so that it lowers the likelihood of losing one half of a pair due to impermanent loss. After I deposit, I stake the coins. Good thing about liquidity pool staking is that you can withdraw anytime. I monitor the pair to frequently rebalance them when the other one deviates too much from the other. With enough experience, I know when to do and what to do. I never lock any of my rewards because that will be a bit risky IMO. The $40k invested can go up and down, but if you do it during the bear market, your risks are minimized. Yield farming allows me to take out my investment anytime I want by withdrawing from the pool, without lock-in periods. I claim rewards every morning and towards month-end I cash out for passive income. This is not for everybody; it probably is because for most average readers here, crypto is too risky or complicated for them.

What kind of artwork? Need a subscription or selling fee on Merch?

Ok, what digital artwork in demand do you suggest?

@Peyton
Hello, anything can be on demand. Crypto shirts are selling extremely well, for example. I suggest you check out the term Merch On Demand on Google. It is an Amazon platform for you to upload T-shirt or merch artwork designs. You can upload any design, they print on the T-shirt and list for sales. And if people like your design and buy the T-shirt you get royalty. Merch on Demand is a name; well anything is on demand if people want it lol.

@bruce
Ok, sounds good. Thank you.

I recently bought a pack of 3 random design graphic tees because I was sure they would fit well. I think I had a choice of colors, I didn’t know what designs I would get. I love them, want to order again. $20. Koloa surf school apparently… so your designs don’t even need to be great, just not annoying enough for someone to return!

You could maybe look into getting leads for businesses on Upwork? People tend to pay good money for that and there’s a big demand for it.

Also, career growth in marketing can be both challenging and rewarding.

A few tips that have helped me: specialize in a niche area like content strategy or analytics to stand out, stay updated on trends (I watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn and read trends.co ($300/year) and theadvault.co.uk (free) religiously), and get comfortable with analytics; knowing how to measure and interpret results is key.

Also, networking with other marketers has been invaluable for learning and staying connected in the industry.

Hope this helps, you can do it.

@Mai
Do you have an academic background in analytics? Certified? Or are you self-taught? I’m a beginner, but don’t know what my level of knowledge is in analytics. I’d like to improve my abilities in analytics. Can I learn and earn a little as I go?

@Asher
I got a degree in marketing.

What do you mean by analytics?

You said in your original post ‘get comfortable with analytics’. Wonder what you meant by that?
