Hi all! Just curious about those who make passive income without using a social network to drive leads. A lot of topics on here center around selling digital products, affiliate marketing, courses. But I am wondering if there is anyone in 2024 making passive income without having a social media / YouTube presence directly related to the thing you sell?
I know there are the obvious ones like real estate and mutual funds. Are people still doing vending machines?
Just to make you aware - having a social presence whether it is YouTube, Instagram, or whatever it is, is NOT a passive way to earn.
It takes a lot of effort.
In general, there is no truly passive way to make a living unless you have a huge amount of money to invest.

Cool! Are you the dev? Currently also trying my hand in passive income through apps but finding the marketing/social presence to be difficult for me because I hate doing it.

I wish, but I’m not. They’re just apps I use and get some form of income whether it be crypto or cash.
Money is made in building an audience. Attention is modern currency so most digital things will have a social presence.
I am highly considering vending machines when I get back from traveling outside of the states but that won’t be passive, I’m looking for something low maintenance and for depreciation.

You don’t need an audience to make money. It helps in some niches but mostly doesn’t matter at all.

Passive with Depreciation: Real Estate Wins. If vending machines turn out to be more work than you wanna deal with, real estate might be the better fit. Rentals depreciate over 27.5 years (residential) or 39 years (commercial), and there are ways to accelerate it to take bigger deductions in the first few years. Bonus depreciation on appliances, HVAC systems, and building improvements.
I have an online presence but most of my revenue comes from ads. Next biggest source is Google search.

Yeah I have, I want to make a social media presence but that takes time and there is no promise of money initially lol. I started churning through Sweepstake Casinos which gives me enough money every month to make rent. I make 900 a month which equals around 30 dollars a day.
