Are paid surveys worth it? What are the best platforms to do this?

Paid surveys have been on my radar for a while and from what I’m hearing the payout these days isn’t half bad. The hard part has always been to find surveys that I could qualify for but it’s been a few years since I’ve actually done this. Is anyone currently making some righteous bucks from maxing out on paid surveys.
I might be getting this wrong but from what I understand one could sign up to dozens of apps/platforms and just crunch away with surveys. Is anyone currently doing this as a way to generate passive income?

There’s a new international gamified survey website that I joined a month ago and I have made $300AUD so far (as I am in Australia). I can send a referral link to anyone who is interested.

Yes and no. It’s pretty easy to make a couple few bucks a day. If things are going well and you spend a lot of time at it you can make more than that but it gets pretty tiresome. But if you typically play mobile games and scroll through social media, you can use that time on surveys and get paid. It won’t pay your rent but it can buy you food. Or you can use it as a way to save up for something specific. I’m saving for a new Mac mini. Anyway. A major tip is to get multiple apps. There will be good days and bad, some apps are better than others, whatever, get as many of them as you can and doom scroll through them. You’re looking for surveys that are fast and easy to do. The more time you spend doing surveys, the easier it is to spot the ones that are worth your time. Treat it as one big game and figure out how to score and level up. Do not get too discouraged if you spend a lot of time on one only to get disqualified, it happens, move on, it’s just a game. You might go into it thinking something like it’s surveys so they want my opinion… that’s not really what’s going on. Often they just want you to tell them that whatever it is, it’s great. There are screening questions at the beginning of most surveys. You learn how to give them the answers that they want. It’s a game. Be sure to not answer too quickly, you can get disqualified by going too fast. I tend to do surveys when I’m watching YouTube vids or whatever. It forces me to take my time. Resist the urge to speed through the answers. Ok so which apps to get? My favorites are Zap and Prime opinions. I also suggest you get Survey Monkey Rewards and Qmee and Google Opinion Rewards. I have referral links for zap prime and Qmee on my Linktree, which you can find on my profile page. It gives me a bit and you a bit too. So google opinion rewards, sometimes I go months, lately it’s been giving me one a day, typically it’s only 1-2 multiple choice questions. The app is good at notifying you when there’s a survey and I feel like it’s somewhat tied to your google usage. Maybe, who knows. It’s not really worth it, except it totally is, just because of how easy it is. Get it and then ignore it until it tells you there’s a survey. It will automatically cash you out every 2$. Survey monkey is another one that doesn’t have many surveys, and it sucks at notifying you that one is available, but weirdly, it’s one of my favorites. All of their surveys are fast and easy. And it’s the one app that you can speed rush through. On rare occasions there will be a survey that tells you it will take 15 mins, but you can finish it in 3. Don’t be intimidated by any of the estimated times they give you. I freaking love survey monkey. Really the trick for that app is doom scrolling between all the apps. You just need to pop it open every hour or so just to see when one is available. Usually there won’t be. Maybe you’ll get 1-3 a day. All of their surveys pay at least 25 cents, then multiples of 25. Occasionally there will be one for like 3.50$. Even when they disqualify you they still pay you 10 cents. You can cash out at 5$, and they only pay in amazon gift cards. So I use them to get whatever random thing I might need off amazon. Qmee used to be great, and occasionally I have good days on it. It’s absolutely worth getting. They typically have surveys ready to go whenever you are. They have a daily quiz that’s fun to do. It’s one question, 5 possible answers. It’s never the fifth option. Anyway that’s 3 cents. 3 cents is nothing of course, but it’s fun and easy and gives you a reason to open the app. Plus that equals 10.95$ a year, which is a thing. Qmee has multiple payout options from gift cards to PayPal etc. and one of the best things about them, no minimum to cash out. So you can do a survey on Qmee and cash out right away. Cashing out makes it real. You might cash out and be like, well that was a dumb way to make 42 cents, or you might be like I can’t believe I got paid for answering dumb questions while sitting on the toilet. Or wherever you choose to do them. You be you. Ok so now we’re getting to my favorites, again, referral links on my Linktree which you can find on my profile page. Let’s get into Prime. Prime always has surveys. If you want to do one you can go to prime and they will have some for you. It’s best to sort by time and do the short ones. That said, they have a star system telling you how everyone else feels about any particular survey and there will be a number indicating how many people have done it. So something might say it will take longer than what you think is worthwhile, but if it’s got 5 stars and hundreds of people have done it, it’s probably going to be fast and easy. Prime has bonuses. Bonuses are huge. One of those bonuses is if you do one survey a day for a week, you get to pick a random prize. Sometimes it’s straight cash homie, from 50 cents to 10 bucks, other times it’s a 10-50% increase on all surveys for a week. They also have cash bonuses after doing a certain amount of surveys. And they have levels, each level means another cash bonus plus they can unlock other bonuses. Once you get to like level 20 or 21, you get a 5% cash out bonus. So like, you need 95$ to cash out but they give you 100$. So once you get into the teen levels, start saving up to get that extra money. The higher you level up, the lower that threshold is to get the 5% bonus. So you might need 47.50$ to get 50$. Anyway, I use Prime a lot. Finally there’s Zap. Zap is great. They have a daily check in button you press and get 3 cents. Easy. But they also give you a bonus every X amount of days. Check in every day for 25 days, here’s more money, 50 days, more money, etc etc. that’s the easiest bonus on zap but def not the only one. They have something called the daily cash survey. If you keep doing those then you get cash every X amount of them done. Zap has bonuses on bonuses. The more you use zap, the more bonuses you get. Some days are slow, others aren’t. Try to figure out the minimum you need to do to get the next bonus. For both zap and prime, bonuses are the key. Oh, with zap, the cash out is at 10$ and it’s very important to cash out as soon as you break 10$ because each time you do they give you 2$. There’s no point in waiting until you reach 20$ or whatever. They won’t give you extra. Hit 10$, cash out, collect 2$ and start working towards the next cash out. Anyway. Ok, that’s all I got for now… for some reason I feel tired. Guess that was a lot. Cool.

Eventually the surveys slow down. They only need SO many A/S/L in your income bracket.

You’ll spend a lot of time filling in those four answers and getting booted. I’ve given up and just started playing games that pay

@Zen
can you say what games that pay

Prime Opinion. I’ve tried all of them. This is the only one worth it in my opinion. I made $70 in 2 weeks doing it strictly on my downtime at work Mon - Fri…I just cashed out yesterday and it was in my PayPal within minutes. I can send you a referral link if your interested. I hear a lot of people talk about Prolific. That’s the only other one worth it, but it has a long waitlist and I have yet to be accepted

@JamesMark
I got accepted immediately. I prefer user interviews though, they pay waaaay better. Like $60-$90 for a one hour interview. I have a link for them that gets you an extra $10, can dm me if you like

@Oak
Can you please send me a link?

@JamesMark
I’ve also tried virtually all paid survey websites and Pogo was the one with the best payouts and the most accessible paid surveys.

I don’t like doing surveys. I find them boring and not worth the time.
