Finding Opportunities With Arbitrage Betting

I was reading some sports betting articles recently and came across this concept called “arbitrage betting.” It sounded interesting - basically finding bets on different sites with odds that guarantee a profit no matter what happens.

I dabbled a bit in matched betting a while back (backing a selection and laying it at an exchange to minimize risk), but this arbitrage thing seems like a whole new level.

Anyone here have experience with arbitrage betting? Particularly, is there a good way to find these opportunities myself, or are there resources? I’d love to learn more before diving in.

I am not into sports gambling, since it is illegal in Texas, my hometown.
But, I know a thing or two about arbitrage betting. I doubt its efficacy since it is small margins we are talking about
And even then finding 3/1 odds is not always easy in any American sports bookies. You wouldn’t win anything if the odds are 1/2, 1/3, or anything substantial where the odds are 2/1
I’ve sure seen 3/1 and 2/1 in European Bookies, but most European games are three way (WLD) whereas American sports have either a winner or a loser, and there are rarely draws except for soccer

Hello, I’d like to promote my arbitrage calculator app, ArbiBet, available on Google Play. It allows you to adjust a slider and redistribute profits between different outcomes, making it a great tool for arbing. Give it a try! Best regards.

OddsJam is quite user-friendly. Just keep in mind that sportsbooks will eventually catch on, and you might end up with very limited betting amounts. I experienced this with MGM, DraftKings, and PointsBet.

This only applies if you place both bets with the same agency.

How much profit did you make before they all caught on, haha? And on average, how long did each one last?

A few thousand dollars over the span of a couple of months.

I’m a bit late to the discussion, but how much were you betting? Should I keep my bets smaller to avoid getting caught, or go bigger to maximize earnings before I get caught?

A few hundred on each side. It really depends on your long-term goals. If you’re just betting for fun and entertainment, go big and maximize your gains from arbing. However, if you’re aiming for long-term profit in sports betting, you might want to avoid arbitrage altogether.
