I have been trying to learn how to make money online for some time now, and I have been successful and unsuccessful all in the same stroke. I started an E-com store last November toward maternity, and that didn’t turn out so great, but I learned a lot about building a store and running ads. I planned on quitting my job in July of this year and starting an online business; I saved up all my overhead and opened a line of credit to float expenses of my venture. I lost my job one month before I planned to quit and started a Lead-Gen Agency, and it was going good. I have been trying to sign my next client for some time now (3 months) as I already have one and am getting results. I love sales because it is a character builder, but at this point, I have to make money as raising the price would be unethical to an extent and can drive away my clients.
My question is: what is something I can learn in a week to maybe 3 weeks and start making money online? I have great flow state if I start a task and focus on it; I can do 4 hours of work in 2 hours’ time. I have great drive and self-motivation; I’m not ready to give up on this dream yet. Just looking for advice on what has worked for some of you.
I suggest not distracting yourself from the ad agency business with something else. Nothing worthwhile will come if you’re trying to learn it quickly.
Keep refining your skills within your business.
I suggest going after a business that is similar to your first client for the second client. Show businesses that do the same thing as your first client how you’ve helped that client. Try to find a little niche in that industry.
Instead of raising prices, ask your first client for a referral. Make more connections on LinkedIn. Make more cold calls to businesses. Make 50-100 new connections and reach outs per day. Just keep going after new clients every day and eventually you’ll get where you want to be!
