At my current job, during one of the processes I have to complete, I stand there the entire day for 3 minutes at a time. I initiate a piece of machinery, and it runs itself for 3 minutes. This happens all day for a couple of days and then the rest of the month I don’t have the 3-minute periods.
What could I do to make money 3 minutes at a time for two days a month?

Can you capture the process of whatever you’re doing, later edit the video together, and post on TikTok and YouTube Shorts? Have a channel dedicated to whatever you’re doing.
That’s possible. I’d have to find a way to record it without violating the privacy of the people walking by me in the area I’m working. What type of channel is it? Could you share it with me so I can get an idea of what I’d need to post?
How long does the button press take and what do you have available? Laptop or phone only? What are your skills besides time keeping and button pressing?

I’m a fire alarm inspector. I carry the device to the next smoke detector down the line. Slide it up into position on the smoke detector, and hit one button. It runs for three minutes with no necessary interaction from me. I have my smartphone but no laptop. I’m usually in the hallway of various hospitals, corporate buildings, etc.
I have an unused computer science degree. I’m good with data and business processes, but I haven’t been able to find ideas that I could do on my phone efficiently in those areas. I was hoping there was some unknown task that people know of I could do.
I realize it’s a long shot, but lately, every time I’m doing this process all I think about is how I could monetize the time.
@TomHenry
The only idea I have would be CrowdGen. I’ve done some voice/speech collection in one of the projects there. There should be other stuff on there that’s done on phones entirely.
Are you your own self-ran fire inspector? If not, start your own practice, and when you get spooled up, use those 3 minutes contacting other businesses to use you.

I wish. We’ve got a crew of guys that would love my management style and would love to be paid more. The challenges right away are insurance. If something goes wrong and a building burns down, we’ll be getting sued into the ground. Also the startup price of a fleet of trucks and all the necessary equipment would be prohibitive.

Take 3-minute surveys. DM if you want a referral link to Attapoll to do surveys; we both get a little more money if you are referred.
Okay. I will say, I tried those, filled out tons of information they could just for digital advertising if they wanted to, and then at the last minute they said I didn’t qualify for a valid survey entry. It felt sketchy.
