On some metrics the stock market appears inflated in value. Eg. https://brockvalue.com
Overvalued perhaps but an ETF bubble is a stretch.

Both VOO and IVV have lower fees than SPY and all are the same - invested in the S&P 500 index.

How does SPY have fees?
World index funds.
Crypto
Gold
S&P 500
Some in savings account to buy dips
Or another option put all your wages on the higher tax rates into a pension (it’s tax free from where I am) and spend the $500k (whilst investing) until there’s no left. If it was the UK and you’re paying the higher rates that $500k would be worth over $700k pretax plus the pension is investing as well except that it’s locked.
SCHD, turn on the automatic DRIP and let it rock and roll.
It’s literally that easy my friend.
Literally that easy. +1

Yes. If it was to be one holding, that is a good one. It mystifies me when so many think VOO should be the default option.
14 year returns:
VOO +449%
SCHG +806%
That is a lot of potential money left on the table.
I had the same amount to invest a few years ago. I DCA’d over the course of a year or so. Unfortunately, I would have been much more profitable if I just lump summed.
Nothing is relatively safe today in the US. Possibly foreign large-cap funds but not anything with ‘emerging markets’.
Personally I’ll say you trade it (in forex or commodity) you can hire a trader (me) who can make 10% of the account monthly that’s $50k monthly × 12 months = that’s $600k a year.

What could go wrong?!
@Nova
Worst case scenario I don’t meet the $50k monthly deadline.
Stable stocks and crypto. Keep some to buy into a pizza place or something too.

Crypto and stable in one sentence is wild thing to write.
Stocks yes, if you mean the index, not individual stocks.
@Westley
There are cryptos that are volatile with bullish futures like Cardano, BTC, and XRP.
NFT, seems like a good idea.

That’s like the worst idea in the history of bad financial ideas. Using $500k as toilet paper is a better investment than buying NFTs. Smh.
