I have about $15,000 extra from selling my second vehicle that I didn’t really use. I really want to start a business or service, preferably online or from home if possible. I’m pretty tech savvy compared to most, but everything I’ve tried from home online hasn’t worked out (drop shipping, blogging, etc.). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You might want to check this forum for ideas. It looks like you’re looking for more than just passive income.
How about flipping watches in New York?
You need to figure out why your previous hustles didn’t work and invest in learning or improving that skill. Just switching hustles won’t help; building your skills will.

Vending machines are one of the side hustles that often fail. Success stories are pretty rare.
@Clancy
How do you know they do well? Most have low profit margins. When you factor in costs and work involved, I doubt they make much. But if the location owns the machine, it’s easier for them to refill, and they don’t have rent to pay. It’s tough to say. Here in Bangkok, about 90% of vending machines I see disappear within a few months.
Consider using Upwork or selling your services online.
There are plenty of side hustles and online opportunities that require little startup capital, but they can be challenging and time-consuming to generate meaningful income. Many of my retired friends tried affiliate marketing and gave up.
I started a coffee pop-up shop for under $5k, and it generates over $2k a month while I only work about 20 hours a month. It was a turnkey business I bought, much cheaper than a coffee truck or cart. I choose when, where, and how often I operate. It’s a predictable income with little time invested—great for someone looking for additional income on weekends.

Hi, can I DM you for more info on how you got started? I’d like to pick your brain a little.

Sure.
Consider starting a workflow automation agency. You could invest in a website, marketing, and YouTube.

What exactly is a workflow automation agency?

How do you find clients aside from that?

I keep hearing about YouTube and TikTok automation. I guess I need to do my own research.

And sell covered calls on it.
Here are some side hustles that worked for me. They’ve become more difficult over the years but can still be effective with the right skills, perseverance, and patience.
I found these by just trying things that I thought might work. The more you experiment, the more likely you are to discover a good side hustle. All of them take some time though.

What works varies for everyone, so try things that resonate with you and sound fun. Don’t pursue things just because someone else made money from them.
