I Have 10k. Where Can I Invest That Money to Generate Passive Income?

Hey 21m, looking for some good people who are already making at least 20k-100k/month. Who can teach me what to do if I have 10k in my pocket. Because I don’t want to waste my age. Anyone who has good experience or ideas can help me or PM me.

10k won’t earn you much passive income, but more than nothing. With relatively safe strategies like index funds or HYSA, you’re looking at 500-1000 back over the next year with that initial amount pretax.

Unfortunately, you won’t get a large chunk of ‘safe’ passive income until you start putting much larger stacks of cash in the pot .

Not financial advice, just trying to contribute to the discussion.

Thanks. Agree with your opinion pretty much, but let’s just find people who made it already.

People who ‘made it’ with 10k pretty much either won huge in the casino with it or YOLO’d the 10k into a stock that gave them a 10x ROI lol. That’s about it if you’re looking for extremely fast cash, but it’s as risky as you can get. Invest some of that into education or a trade skill which will then net you more in the future. Just my NF advice!

Alright :ok_hand:.

Excluding advice from people focused on making money is not only naive but also a logical fallacy. It demonstrates a misunderstanding of how wealth is actually built. Most individuals with a net worth of $1M+ never even came close to earning $20K a month in active income. Achieving $20K a month in passive income requires a significant initial investment, which comes from building wealth over time—not just from high monthly income. Additionally, earning $20K+ a month doesn’t grant anyone divine knowledge; success often depends on a combination of discipline, strategy, and understanding long-term financial growth.

I’m one of those people; send me 10k, and I’ll let you know the secret. Make sure you have between 2 and 10 people in your close circle to get started!

Ok, thanks :joy:.

Doesn’t work like that.

  1. Don’t believe anyone that DM you money-making schemes.

Ok, thanks.

I make $165k a year. I guarantee you $10k won’t do shit for passive income. Get your first $100k in cash and start from there.

Alright, thanks for your review. Do you earn from a job or business?

Invest in some index funds. Otherwise, that’s not a lot of cash.

Yeah, thinking about that. Have any preference?

At your age, you should focus on growing your capital and compounding your interest.

Whatever you do for passive income, you’ll probably make 3-5% from your $10k, which isn’t going to pay the bills.

Personally, I’d be opting for an asset that I think is likely to appreciate and hoping that goes up significantly more than 3-5%.

Index funds historically have been a safe bet, but I’d opt for an accumulation fund personally rather than receiving dividends.

One answer: in yourself.

Bro, you’re crazy! With 10k earning 20k-100k/month passive income! I’ll be happy asf if I can make even an average income of 6000/month. And don’t forget about tax!

Give it to me; I’ll give it right back.
