It won’t make you a lot of money, but I made $10 this week playing games with PlayTest Pro! Better than nothing.
Good luck, hope it helps!
Thanks, I’ll try it out.

Sell your plasma. Seriously.
EDIT: I just realized you said you wanted to do something online so I’ll highlight the relevant hustles, the rest is for anyone else looking for ideas.
Do you have anything in your dorm that you could sell? Start there. Then take that money, buy some more stuff (at a thrift store or on a clearance rack at a store) and sell it. Do this until you could save up some money to invest in another hustle.
Alternatively, you could ask parents or other family members if you could borrow some cash for an emergency. Start a small hustle, then pay ‘em back.
Once you can save your money, here are some good college hustles:
*-Flipping items (fast startup, fast money, low risk, low reward but has potential to be high since you could then buy a stock of items and sell them on a website)
-Vending machines (slow startup, low risk, medium reward; not really fast money, but I would estimate weekly to monthly payouts)
-Moving business (moderate startup, fast money, medium risk, high reward; you also don’t need a large moving van as long as you have a reliable vehicle that can meet rented)
-Bicycle Repair and Flipping (moderate startup because you need a few hundred bucks, fast money since you live on campus, low risk, medium reward)
-Snow Shoveling/Landscaping (fast startup, fast money, low risk, low reward)
-Auto Detailing (My personal favorite) (Moderate startup since you need a few hundred bucks, fast money, medium risk, high reward)
-Dog Sitting/Walking (Low startup; you literally just have to offer yourself, medium risk since the dog may be aggressive, low reward)
-Dog Grooming (High startup, but it’s a lucrative business; high risk, high reward)
-Baby Sitting (same as dog sitting)
*-Website Building (Low Startup; just ask your professors if they need a web portfolio built, and they may throw you a couple hundred bucks. You could also ask any graduating students. Low Risk, Medium Reward)
I hope this helps, and good luck!
I know this is a ‘side hustle’ subreddit, but can you not just get a regular job? Retail, fast food, etc.
Get yourself a heat press on FB Marketplace for $100. Call local businesses, schools, and churches and sell t-shirts, hoodies, etc. 613dtf.com is a spot to get your transfers. Buy shirts at Alphabroder or Jiffy if you don’t have an EIN. Only press what you sell.
Sign up on Fiverr and offer your skills. Learn how to build WordPress and Shopify websites. Learn how to make short-form videos and video edit. Offer that on Fiverr and to small businesses in your area.
Just watch YouTube videos on how to improve your skills.
Fiverr takes time to build up. Let me know when you open an account and I’ll buy your service + leave a review to help build your profile.
@Harper
Just curious if you’d be willing to offer that service for a writer/editor on Fiverr as well as Upwork. Thanks.

I prefer Fiverr because I have a Fiverr profile with some funds that I can use and I’m familiar with how that platform works. I’m not too familiar with Upwork (other than you bid for work).
Yes, send me your Fiverr profile. I’ll give you a sale and help build your profile.

What skills/passions do you have?
Winter is coming, and it should be snowing in some areas already. Get a shovel and go around your neighbor offering to clear their driveway and such. Earn a bit of money, invest in other equipment and tools that can help you during summer months (mow, trim, etc.). Good luck.
Are you a guy or girl? If a girl, babysit. If a guy, work nightshift (4 hrs) at an Amazon fulfillment center. You can usually start in 4-5 days from interest.

Also, take student loans. Don’t be afraid to take what you NEED, don’t overtake out loans.

I’ve made some money reselling stuff I’ve found dumpster diving and/or stuff found on the FB Marketplace free section.
Resell small stuff on eBay and larger stuff on FB Marketplace. Always price higher than what you actually want because people love to feel like they’re getting a deal and will talk you down. Take cash only, meet in a public spot to exchange.
You’d be shocked by the crap people will buy lol. I’ve sold old magazines, only partly full perfume, cases of plastic champagne flutes (some were damaged) from a party supply store dumpster—just take good photos, be honest about damage/flaws, and highlight the pros of buying.
For example, the old magazines were ‘retro’ and ‘vintage.’ The champagne flutes had the key words Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and party in the description to attract buyers. You get it.
Weed is always popular.
Get a job at the college. It’ll also give you a discount on tuition.
Do you have a vehicle? I’d suggest Instacart, Spark, UberEats, and some other platforms.
