What does the app do and what is the name? Did you do the development or hire someone?
I already answered that in this thread.
Oh yeah, I see it now, sorry.

How was your experience with Yango App Monetization? I wanted to try them too.

It worked well for me. Easy setup and solid revenue boost. I can share more in DM.
I’m literally learning Flutter right now! How do you get ads integrated, and how do you manage subscriptions?

Awesome, Flutter is a great choice! I used Yango App Monetization for ads since they made integration super easy. For subscriptions, I went with RevenueCat to keep it simple. If you need tips, I’m happy to chat!
@Arun
Apart from the issues I had with running clean projects on the Android Emulator, I like Flutter. Thanks for the tips! I’ll keep that in mind as I try to speed through my course. It’s been tough with so many updates, but I’ll get back to developing my own projects again soon. It’s great to hear that it’s possible to turn this into something profitable, very motivating!
Can you explain how you built the app? I have a few ideas but don’t know how to start.

He mentioned it! Flutter and Firebase, but you need to know how to code. It really depends on the level of the app you want to build, it can be quite hard or manageable starting from zero.

How did you only spend $300 in two months of development? Assuming 160 hours a month and a net salary of $30 per hour, that would have cost you about $10k in development.
He clearly developed the app himself.
@Stevie
So he works for free?
That’s his investment, his time. I don’t think he pays himself a salary.

Yes, but he’s a developer. He could easily make that money working a software development job.
@Yan
But he made this money on his own with no boss, and he probably has a job, so this is extra income.

I built it solo, so there was no developer salary to pay, just $300 for hosting, tools, and assets. Time was the real investment.
@Arun
Your time is free? So you can build me an app? That’s not how it works. The time you spent building that app means you couldn’t work. You have to add that to your investment.

Yeah, I get what you mean. But I was building it in my free time, not instead of paid work. I didn’t count my hours as costs since it felt like more of a side project than a job. If I had to pay developers, it would have been a totally different situation.
@Arun
Even so, if you do it yourself, I could easily work extra hours and earn more. It’s only worth it if the app keeps making money without a lot of extra effort.

You seem a bit confused.

If you know where to go and what to do, it’s not too hard to come up with an app. You can build one in a day or two, depending on the functionality you want. You can even pay someone on Fiverr to build it for you for $100 or less nowadays.
Just curious, what’s your split of ads vs subscription revenue?
