I manage a Facebook group dedicated to a popular TV show, and it currently has about 50,000 active members. I’m wondering if there’s a way to monetize the group without overwhelming or annoying my audience. Has anyone here had success making money from a similar setup? Ideas or suggestions on where to start would be appreciated…
Consider setting up a BuyMeACoffee link—generous people might tip.

I second that! You can casually add this to the group description: ‘I love having you all here! It’s completely free, but if you want to show your appreciation, your tips would mean a lot! It’s a way to support the time and effort I put in.’ See how it goes!
@Dexter
Thanks so much!!
This might be a bit underhanded, but a friend made a lot from the TV show Bosch. He advertised free paracord bracelets with a small shipping charge, making a good profit.

It’s surprising that people would pay $5 delivery for a $1 product. This strategy could work in various niches. I might give it a go.
Consider print-on-demand (POD) merchandise. Create your own merch that you can sell. You already have an established audience, so go for it!

This is a great idea!
Setting up a tip link is a fantastic idea! You could also look into merchandising.
You could sell advertising space in your group. Create a simple online store where people can purchase ad slots, but make sure the group’s rules restrict advertising.
Custom t-shirts could work too!
Thanks for all the ideas!!!
If your show relates to motorbikes, reach out to motorbike companies for potential sponsorships.
Post your question in r/affiliatemarketing for more insights.
Consider affiliate links to products related to the show. Amazon Associates is an option. You can also create print-on-demand merchandise and promote it in the group. Sharing short clips from the show while consistently promoting your merchandise can keep the group engaging.
@Tan
I’m concerned about possible copyright notices from the show regarding print-on-demand.

Check if the official merchandise has an affiliate program.
Start selling products related to the show. With so many members, even a few interested buyers can lead to extra income.
I can buy the group from you for $1k.
