Looking for fun ways to make some extra cash

For instance, 3D printers can be entertaining, and you can turn that into a business.

I’m searching for ways to enjoy myself while earning money without breaking the bank. Is it wrong to want both money and enjoyment? I have tried taking surveys but ended up disliking them pretty quickly; those were tough times. I consider myself a beginner and I feel super shy in real life.

Have you thought about thrifting and reselling? It’s a lot of fun to explore different items and it gives you a reason to get out of the house, especially during the winter!

Could you suggest any platforms for a beginner like me to start reselling?

I live near a few not-so-great thrift stores, but there’s also a place called Desert Industries.

@Will
I usually use eBay, and for larger items, Facebook Marketplace works well too. A couple of years back, I made $600 in about 5-6 months without trying too hard. I treated it more like a hobby. Just keep in mind that many people do this as a full-time job, so the stores can get picked over pretty quickly.

What about flipping websites? I enjoy it because I get to be creative and build any type of site I want. I’ve done travel sites, budget sites, coffee sites, etc.

Last month, I made $2400 from a website flip.

I mostly do small site flips, which usually sell for three figures.

@Paris
Do I still have to pay for hosting the website? How does that work, and are there any good YouTube videos on this topic?

Yes, you need to pay for hosting.

There are plenty of YouTube videos about website flipping.

You start by picking a niche, then buy a domain and web hosting. After that, set up your content management system and design your site.

When it’s ready, you can flip it right away.

I typically spend about $20 to create a site and sell it for anywhere from $200 to $500.

You can also develop it more over time for a better price.

@Paris
How do you sell the websites? Do you follow trends, or just go with what interests you?

@Paris
Can you share more details on that?

Sure thing.

I build, grow, and sell websites for profit without needing coding or design skills.

It’s just a strategy I follow step-by-step. I’ve flipped dozens of sites and made over six figures from it. I find it really enjoyable and rewarding.

@Paris
That’s cool! How do you increase the site’s value? Is it mostly about content?

Yes, content is key. Over time, traffic and monetization will add to the value.

@Paris
I’m also curious about where you sell them. How does the selling process work? Does it usually take a while? In your experience, which niches are the most profitable?

What do you consider fun? I enjoy arts and crafts like painting and woodworking, and I’ve made some money selling what I create.

I’m not exactly sure what fun is, maybe just something to get my day going and get my brain working, kind of like exercising in a strange way.

You can publish random stories online, and people actually buy them. You get 90% of the sale price.

Where do you publish those stories?

Here’s my take on how and where to do that. :joy::clap: link

I tend to be hard on myself and think I’m not good at writing. I’ve heard of Amazon KDP, but it seems oversaturated with AI content. What are the chances someone would buy my writing?

@Will
If you sell just two stories a month for the next 30 years, that would add up to over $1400. Imagine if you keep going and end up with 100 or even 1000 stories. D2D has strict quality controls for AI content. They allow it, but the quality must be very high.

Or it could just be decent human writing.

Personally, I’d prefer to stick with my average writing skills over AI. :joy:
