I wanted to share my success story here, hoping it might help someone out. I bought an Amazon KDP store that was already making some money but not a lot, so it wasn’t too expensive. I had ideas for three books that I could write with AI’s help. I started with the first book, put in the time and effort, and was amazed by the results when I published it on my existing KDP account on Amazon.
After that, I created my second and third books, which have been very successful. I’ve tried various ways to earn passive income as a digital nomad, and this is by far the best method I’ve found. Please feel free to share your own success stories or ask me any questions about what I did; I genuinely want to help you succeed!
That site is interesting! Some businesses have only been up for 1-2 years and are making around $7k a month. I can see why they’re selling for a high price. How did you decide which KDP to buy?
@Hal
It’s amazing how well they can do and how fast they grow with the right product. I searched for a long time, going through many listings and asking sellers questions. Then I found this one, and it seemed perfect. Someone recommended a newsletter that sends out digital businesses that they analyze for you; it’s called Digital Sniper.
A Google search will show you that KDP is Kindle Direct Publishing. It provides tools to publish your own books. A KDP store is where you sell those books.
What are some red flags to look for when evaluating Amazon KDP businesses on Flippa? Did you choose a store with content on a topic you’re familiar with, or did you focus on something financially sound that you could learn about later?
@Shai
The biggest red flags are when the profit and loss don’t match what’s shown in the Flippa analytics. Also, checking bank statements for hidden costs is important. If the bank accounts align with the sales report on Amazon, you’re in good shape. Also, check the account feedback; a lot of bad reviews could indicate trouble. I wasn’t overly excited by the content, but I had ideas related to it that I was passionate about, which hopefully shows in my writing.

I appreciate your willingness to share this info. Did you use any resources to learn about Amazon KDP before your purchase?
You’re welcome! I learned a lot from YouTube tutorials. I looked at both the storefront and backend, and YouTube showed me how to make it stand out through SEO and Amazon advertising.
