Should I get a vending machine for my apartment building?

I stay in a fancy apartment building, and recently the person who sold sodas and snacks here stopped. They used to keep the snacks in a shared area, and you paid for them at a machine. But I heard people took the snacks without paying. I think having vending machines instead might stop that. Should I put in two machines, or is that too much trouble since I live here and can keep an eye on them?
