Teen looking for passive income

Hi everyone,

I’m a teenager living in Canada, and I’ve been finding it really tough to land a traditional job. So, I started looking into passive income opportunities like YouTube automation and dropshipping. These ideas really caught my interest because they seem like a way to make money without needing a job.

The thing is, I don’t know where to start. I’ve saved up $200 that I’m ready to invest, but I don’t want to spend it on expensive courses that promise results but may not deliver. I want to learn and start something on my own.

Does anyone have advice or steps on how to get started with YouTube automation or dropshipping? Are there tools, platforms, or free resources that I can use to learn and launch something? Or are there better passive income ideas I could explore with my budget?

I’d really appreciate any guidance from people who have experience or know how to navigate these fields. Thanks in advance!

Look, approach your parents and ask them to assist you in opening a brokerage account. If you start at a super young age you will learn what it means to have patience and invest slowly to build up as you find little side hustles. The problem is everyone and their mother has already saturated that market you are trying to break into. Start locally with opportunities that are easily setup and practical to get cash in hand to then keep pumping into your brokerage account.

What’s a brokerage account?

It’s an account, like Robinhood, where you can buy and trade stocks. Learn how the market works and learn to invest :ok_hand::money_with_wings:

You could maybe look into getting leads for businesses on Upwork? People tend to pay good money for that and there’s a big demand for it.

Also, career growth in marketing can be both challenging and rewarding.

a few tips that have helped me: specialize in a niche area like content strategy or analytics to stand out, stay updated on trends (I watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn and read trends.co ($300/year) and theadvault.co.uk (free) religiously), and get comfortable with analytics, knowing how to measure and interpret results is key.

Also, networking with other marketers has been invaluable for learning and staying connected in the industry.

Hope this helps, you can do it!

I can’t take credit for the two things I do monthly, but I make about $700 passively (literally 5 minutes a day maybe). I’ve really started expanding on Grass (new bandwidth sharing app) that runs in the background and shares your unused internet, which you get paid for. I literally leave it on 24/7 and have multiple computers with different IPs. Even with just one CPU, you can make around $100 a month by doing basically nothing.

If you sign up, they’re running a promotion for the current epoch they’re in; you can use my link if you want. Grass: Join to Earn a Stake in AI

@Peyton
Well, that is interesting. Does it scale with multiple computers? You mentioned the one cluster. Also, you mentioned two things; what is the other?

Social casinos! I found someone on here who had a lot of helpful information but I’m making about $30/day. You don’t have to deposit or put your credit card info. It’s a lot of tedious work to get set up, but once it is, it’s like 10 min a day to collect the daily bonuses. Basically, each site gives you about $1 free a day; you just have to “collect” it.

Yes, it scales by IP address, so if you have multiple computers/networks you can get faster rewards/farming. I basically leave the Grass desktop app running 24/7; it never slows down anything I do when I work from home or game.

@Peyton
You say you make about $100 a month per device? Got some old laptops; I might have some work they can finally do lol.

Yep! Making probably a bit more than that; it’s a little bit guesswork as you’re rewarded in ‘grass,’ which is a currency of its own, but I immediately sell it for USD via Coinbase. The way I look at it is, it basically pays for my internet bill and then some by using it.

It’s by each network, not device, so if each CPU is hooked up to the same network, it won’t increase your pay, as the bandwidth is all the same.

@Peyton
But to sign up in Coinbase, you must be 18 years and older. What can teens under 18 do?

@Peyton
This is basically a DePIN solution. I didn’t do this, but I’m involved in many, especially in the Solana and Peaq ecosystems. If you want to get involved in more, I’d suggest exploring these chains. By the way, which others are you into aside from Grass?

@Kai
I’ve used NATIX as well.

Okay. Since I do Uber as a part-time side hustle, I use it quite a lot. I even have a dedicated phone for it. I’m really impressed with the tech.

@Kai
With NATIX or Grass?

On NATIX. I just started Grass SZ2.

You have many options. You can either buy Peaq coin or farm DePINs building on the Peaq ecosystem for free. That’s a great way to familiarize yourself with other earning opportunities.
