Hi, since COVID, I’ve been living at home and haven’t made much money because jobs have been scarce in my area. I feel like I need to find more ways to earn. I thought of asking Reddit because I tried searching online for ideas, but it’s so scarce; it might even be on this sub, but anything would be helpful honestly.
I made a list of everything I do from home that I’ve had success in. This won’t be enough for a full-time job, but it makes enough for a bill or two every month. Hopefully, this helps!
@Zen
Thank you for this list!
@Zen
Thanks for the list!! I’ll take a look at it!
You have to understand what people want in order to make money off of them. Sales are all psychological. Figure out how to get people to buy what you are selling, and you can make money with anything.
Check out Outlier.ai. Sometimes it comes down to luck about which jobs you get, but some people make decent money every week doing it. It’s basically a freelance website where you train an AI based on what you know as a human, and you get paid hourly for it ($15-$50 an hour) depending on your niche. They do have one for music in there.
@Vesper
You train AI and eventually you are fired?

Sure if you want to look at it that way. But you can make a good amount of money in the process… hence it’s a side hustle, not a 9-5.
@Vesper
Bummer! It has geographic restrictions.
@Vesper
That might help with online making, thank you! Despite being Gen Z, I am not up to date on all the AI stuff, tbh lol.

Haha, you don’t have to be. Just pick the job description that fits you the best and apply for that one.
@Vesper
Sounds great!! I’ll give it a look and give it a chance! I appreciate the help!
OK, so you don’t want to make videos. Is this actually: ‘I don’t want to appear in videos’ or is it that you don’t want to make videos as part of your marketing effort? Let’s face it, creating videos can be a lucrative way to earn an income online, but it’s definitely not the only option.
Here are some ways to earn money at home without making videos:
- Freelancing: Offer your skills on platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, or Freelancer.
- Affiliate Marketing: Promote products through your unique affiliate links and earn a commission on sales.
- Writing books: Sell eBooks or offer tutoring through websites like Chegg, TutorMe, and Wyzant.
- Virtual Assistance: Provide administrative support on platforms like Upwork or Freelancer.
- Selling digital products: Create and sell digital products such as templates or online courses.
- Online surveys: Participate in surveys on sites like Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and Vindale Research.
Pick the method that aligns with your skills and interests, and you can earn a decent income from home.
@Rowan
Of late, I’ve not been securing gigs on Upwork; I’m in a 6-month dry spell. I realized even VA work isn’t easy to secure since most clients prefer Indonesians and Filipinos.
@Rowan
I appreciate that about video making; I’m just not so sure about it, that’s all.
I recommend starting your own affiliate marketing business. Once it starts to grow, you can earn passive income. Look into Wealthy Affiliate for comprehensive training and tools. They’re currently offering a huge discount, and even have a free starter membership to test the program out.
@Kim
Interesting, I’ll look into it!

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.
Get a remote job doing call answering or something. Your skills in copying music or beatboxing won’t provide much if you don’t develop some sort of skill.
