I’m always on the lookout for new side hustles and curious to hear what’s working for others.
I’m slowing down and getting ready for some long-term travel, so I’m only keeping up with two side hustles for now.
My main side hustle is betting on Polymarket, which should make me around $150-200 this month. I plan to ramp it up after a few more months of testing, though I wouldn’t recommend this for most people.
I also have a Substack newsletter where I write about side hustles. I write once a week or so, which makes it easy to keep up with while traveling. It’s free for now as I’m focusing on growing my subscriber base.
Is it hard to learn? Is a lot of it based on luck?
No, it’s not that hard. You just need a good strategy and manage your risks. This way, even on bad days, you’re not losing too much.
I’ve heard a lot about it but never really looked into it. If I wanted to start, where should I begin? How did you get into it?
I learned most of it from YouTube, actually. There are plenty of good channels that can help you get started. I can recommend some if you want. You can also get someone who’s already successful to teach you their strategy if you don’t have time to learn it all on your own.

Thank you so much! What platform do you use to trade?

I do online trading and make close to $4k a month.
I’ve been trading on and off for a few years, but I’m struggling to be consistent with my profits. Are you more into breakout trading, swing trading, or day trading? What setups do you prefer?

I wash windows about 15 hours a week and make around $2k. I also pick up dog waste for about the same hours and income. I drive around on trash days and sell what I find on marketplace. Currently working on setting up an ice cream boat.
How did you get the window cleaning jobs? Did you go door to door? And what about the dog waste business?

I started by going to small businesses on Main Street with a squeegee, spray bottle, and rags. About 1 in 4 said yes. Then I put flyers in their windows and used the money to buy more equipment. After that, I posted on local Facebook groups offering residential services, and it grew from there.
For the dog waste service, I posted in Facebook groups and hung flyers. ChatGPT helped me come up with everything except the actual work.

I’m not into SEO or monetization yet. I just want to have fun with it, and focusing on SEO would make it feel like work.

I manage social media for local businesses. I make $180 per client, and I’ve been doing this for about a year and a half. I’m planning to increase my prices soon. What started as a favor has turned into a decent side gig. I’m a full-time student with two part-time jobs, and this fits in well.
How did you find clients? Do you take the photos for their profiles too?

I bought an e-commerce dropshipping business last year, and it’s currently making $2k a month and growing!
How much did you pay for it? If you don’t want to say, that’s cool. I’ve seen a few for sale but felt like the risk was too high for the price.
I paid just under $5k. At the time, it was only making $600 a month.
That’s a great deal. Most stores I’ve seen sell for 30-35 times monthly profit. You got something worth $18k for $5k, and now it’s worth at least $60k. Great job improving it! Where did you buy it from?
