Can I realistically make $1000 a month in (mostly) passive income?

I’m a senior in high school looking to make $1,000 a month in passive income to replace my part-time job. I understand this won’t be a get-rich-quick scheme or a way to make money with little effort. I’m willing to invest time and effort upfront for something that can realistically make me $1,000 a month within a few months.

Although I’m not unhappy with my current job as a shift lead at a restaurant, it doesn’t add value to my life professionally or personally. I’d rather use those 20 hours a week to develop a high-income skill or something similar. How realistic do you think this goal is? I would love to hear some suggestions!

It doesn’t necessarily have to be 100% passive; I’m open to ideas that require less than 20 hours a week to maintain. I’m also open to ideas that require some upfront investment if there’s a decent chance of success.

In high school, I worked nights and weekends as a pressure washer, earning $3000 per month. Not in the least passive. but it’s always possible to develop something that workers could someday take over.

Currently a shift lead at a restaurant, I’ve realized it doesn’t align with my long-term goals. I’m prepared to invest time upfront into developing a high-income skill or business idea that can realistically yield $1,000 monthly within a few months, even if it’s not entirely passive. I’m open to opportunities requiring less than 20 hours a week and willing to consider upfront investments for greater potential returns. Any suggestions or insights on the feasibility of this goal would be greatly appreciated.
