Fear of getting started

How do you filter out all the ideas you have to start making passive income? I can’t seem to just do it. Any advice? Or help?

I heard something the other day along the lines of… if everyone could get free lottery tickets how many would you take? As many as you can carry right? Life is a lottery ticket. It’s a miracle that you even live and breathe on this earth. It’s a miracle that you woke up today. Is it so hard to believe a miracle could happen to make you financially stable in today’s world? Hell no! Your one Facebook post. One TikTok upload. One tweet. One insta reel away from changing your life. We live in a world FULL of free lottery tickets. Go get yours.

You can do it, just be sure to never look back when times are tough or could possibly lead you to turn right around and say fuck it

The best advice I’ve read and I have implemented is “just start!”. My ideas were low risk (blogging, etc.) so trying and maybe succeeding was worth more than just having ideas rattling in my head and bogging me down. You start to figure out what you have a passion for as you start weeding through all of your ideas. Sitting and stewing on ideas in my head only causes me dread and overwhelming feelings. Go for it!

It’s easy to get lost in the sauce with passive income ideas, trust me, I’ve been there. My advice? Start small. Don’t try to do everything at once. What are you already good at or interested in? Maybe try dipping your toes in one thing at a time, like affiliate marketing or selling digital products.

Pen n paper where u want to go where u are at what u like in your life what u don’t like.

Edit the list look at it daily.

Stop thinking and just put in some actions. Ever heard - actions speak louder than words oh yeah they really do so do it okay and when you start don’t look back especially in the beginning or when you are having a bad day because that can make you want to turn around and just give it all up keep going keep going once you get to the top and you’re out of checkpoint and you saved the game save your journey then you can look back and see all the shit that you accomplished and went through.

HUSTLE LIKE IT’S YOUR LAST DAMN DAY.

Create a pros and cons list of all the things you want to do and then filter it with all the things you want to do personally. For instance: If an idea is going to cost you a ton of time, but you want to travel, that may not be the best option.

All passive income projects take time to maintain or manage. Pick the ones that you can pull off and won’t mind keeping up with. If its too much trouble for you, then you wont keep up with it or itll feel like a burden.

Just pick one idea, maybe the one that is the easiest and lowest barrier to entry and just do it! Good luck!

At some stage you’re going to have to pick something and just go with it. You can’t know what you’ll like or what will work for you until you take action. You’ll probably have a few failures along the way but that’s okay as it’s part of the learning process. I’ve been doing different businesses online since 2008 and I didn’t settle on the first thing I tried. In the last few years I’ve had to pivot again due to the changing online climate (SEO, Google, AI etc. have changed a lot in recent years).

I’d say start small, but start. Most regional and all banks will offer you a CD at 5.4% (I have a list of banks if youd like to know them), but one of the best tools they offer is a CD secured line of credit. So, if you decide to invest into something else, you can pull an LOC on your CD, and the bank rate will generally be 2% on the funds drawn down. Your CD rate from the bank will provide you the funds needed to cover your LOC, and the return from your investment will provide you profit. But at the end of the day, you’ll be earning 5.4%.

Fear of starting is something many people face, but you can overcome it by breaking your goals into smaller, manageable steps.

If you’re interested in making passive income, consider trying affiliate marketing. You can promote products you love and earn commissions on sales. Another option is to start a blog about topics you’re passionate about. You can use Hydro to help you make money from it, which is great for content creators.

If you have some money to invest, renting out property is another good one. Just keep in mind that getting started is the hardest part, but it gets much easier once you take that first step.

You just pick one and give it a go. If it doesn’t work out, you pick another one and give that a go. That’s how I succeeded. As for fear, feel the fear and do it anyway.

If you don’t do anything, then nothing will ever be done, wouldn’t you rather at least try and start to see if it’s for you? You can always change your mind, but you won’t know until you’ve tried.

Self doubt I guess. It’s something new so I’m just not feeling that confident in my abilities. Honestly, I feel like I have a good point of view and could create something worthwhile. It’s all in my head, I’ve seen people create weird things and make money so it’s worth a try.

@Keaton
Nobody starts as experts, everybody is learning on the job - just go for it, and if it doesn’t work, at least you tried.
