I’m 29, married, and already have a home loan. My goal is to be financially independent and earn €150,000 a year by 35. I want to quit my job once I hit €4,000 in steady monthly income and fully focus on running my own businesses. For now, I’ve got weekends and remote working time to get started.
I have €50,000 to invest but no clue where to start building passive income. Here are some ideas I’ve been considering:
Buy a small building with multiple apartments for rental.
Open a fast-food spot or a creperie.
Partner financially with a friend’s leisure park business.
Start an e-commerce store, like selling magnets for tourist places.
Create a tourism-related service, like all-inclusive nature getaways in India.
Buy a car and rent it out.
Thing is, I’ve got zero entrepreneurial experience, so I don’t know where to begin or which idea makes the most sense. I plan to start small with about €10,000 to learn and accept mistakes as part of the process.
Here’s what I’m asking for:
What’s the best way to start passive income as a beginner?
Welcome to the forum! Be careful about scams, especially in crypto. If you send money to an address you don’t control, you’ll probably lose it. Stick to trusted options and always do your research.

The idea is probably using a platform like Turo to rent it out. While it’s better than financing a car for personal use, it’s still one of the riskiest ways to try and make passive income.
€10,000 is way too much to spend just to learn. Spend more time than money at first. Think of it like this: experience comes from trial and error, not big spending.
Also, don’t try to be an angel investor unless you’ve got loads of money to risk. Most of the time, you’ll lose more than you gain.
Start small, focus on solving a problem people have, and build from there. Every failed attempt teaches you something valuable.
Start with something you’re actually interested in. If you like what you’re working on, it’ll feel less like a chore and you’ll stick with it longer. That’s how you can grow it over time.
