If you suddenly came into a large sum of money, what kind of business would you open? Would you go for a franchise? I know it’s a broad question, but I have some time to explore and figure out what I’d like to do. Just hoping to get inspired by what others would suggest. Thanks!
I’d suggest investing in a digital business that generates passive income, like SaaS, KDP, or e-commerce. I bought an underperforming dropshipping business last year, and now it makes around $2k a month. It’s been my best investment.

I’d get into real estate. Rental properties would be my focus.

It depends on how much money you have and whether you already have an income stream. If it were me, I’d invest in dividend-paying stocks or real estate. I also think starting a SaaS business is a great option with low costs and high potential. You could invest most of your money and use a small portion to fund a business that generates passive income. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to help you learn more about starting a SaaS business. It’s given me flexibility and financial freedom.

Thanks for all the helpful info! Just to give some context, I sold my family’s business and will be getting $800,000 in November, followed by $100,000 a year until 2032. I want to invest and build a business responsibly.

I’d aim to become an inspirational political figure.

I’d look into franchises that have been consistently profitable, especially in the past few years.

I work out of state a lot, and one thing I notice everyone buys daily is energy drinks and cigarettes. I’d invest in a vending machine business selling Monster and Red Bull, especially near motels or busy areas.
