What should I do if I want to start right now

I’m 18 and I have about 10k saved up. How should I use this money? I’m thinking of investing a couple thousand in index funds, maybe even REITs, though I haven’t researched that much. Is there anything else I could do? I’m open to trying other ways that might require more effort

At your age, I’d also suggest putting some cash towards something fun, like a trip or something you’ve always wanted to do. Experiences are investments too.
