So, I’ve got a nice chunk of change coming in each month… enough to rent a decent place in a big city. But I’m a full-time worker, so I’m wondering if I should just set aside this money for something else. Or should I be trying to make more money so I can splurge on take-out?
This forum has a great list of vetted opportunities for passive income. One thing to watch out for is anyone asking you to send crypto to an unknown address or test a new blockchain network. That’s not a legit way to make money.
I’d put it in a solid index fund and forget about it.

That’s the ticket.

With a solid plan, you could use that 2400 dollars to build up your long-term wealth and freedom.

Consider putting money into a dividend growth fund or an income-oriented fund for retirement.

Here’s a suggestion. I invest in SWIN, which tracks the returns of the Solactive United States Dividend Elite Champions Index. I also use a bit of cash leverage to boost my returns.

I prefer VYM over my target date fund.

Awesome. I want to achieve a passive income so I can do this too.
If I had a steady income, I’d look to invest in rental properties or small businesses. The 2400 dollars would be a solid down payment for a property, and I could use that rental income to cover taxes and repairs.
That 2400 dollars won’t even get you a small apartment in New York.

Use that challenge as fuel to create multiple income streams. Don’t just survive, thrive.

I’m doing well, but that’s about the poster’s 2400 dollars.
