Just to give some background, I’m a 13 year old girl and I really want to get a new laptop since my current one is old, broken, and not worth fixing. My mom isn’t buying me a new one, so I have to save up for it myself. But I only get 20 dollars a month, which makes it hard to save enough. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can earn money online

Sell snacks at school for 2 dollars
Visit a wholesale store, buy some inexpensive snacks, and sell them for 2 bucks each

Seriously, you can make good money like this! I was surprised the year I did a lollipop fundraiser for an after-school group.
You can even sell sodas or energy drinks if your school doesn’t have vending machines.
Watch out for shady people here who promise you big money for illegal stuff. Don’t open any direct messages
A real way to earn is by writing books on Amazon KDP. We have a large community on the forum for self-publishing.
@Pax
Or…have them pay you first and then report them

No, there could be a lot of inappropriate pictures coming your way lol
There aren’t many options for a 13 year old girl to make money online. Consider downloading the Nextdoor neighbor app and offering to babysit or dog sit for anyone in your neighborhood.

That’s not true, you just have fewer options
@Hollis
Can you name a single genuine way for a 13 year old girl to earn money online? Only thing I can think of is content creation like kids unboxing toys but that needs a good laptop and money to start, which OP doesn’t have.
@Sky
Selling art or digital art is another option. But you’d need to be really skilled and have the right resources to create and sell it.
@Sky
This way of thinking about content creation is outdated. Many young influencers just used a smartphone or tablet to get started. You don’t need a lot of money.

And nearly everyone trying to make money with content creation ends up making nothing. OP asked how to earn money, not how to waste time.
A 13 year old probably shouldn’t be trying to earn money online

Well, sometimes kids gotta find ways to hustle

You actually get more money allowance than I do and I’m way older than you lol. Stay safe and good luck.
I don’t really know of easy online things for your age, but I sold candies at school when I was younger.
It sounds silly, but I can imagine someone at lunch thinking they could go for some snacks. But students would order from me for the next day! The shop is super close to school, and I’d wait for only 30 seconds before class starts and charge them.
Sell Red Bull and Monster from your backpack for 3 dollars each and pieces of gum for 2 dollars each, just ask your parents for some startup cash and get everything from Costco or a similar store. It’s decent profit but be careful around staff.
Check out thrift stores and sell interesting items on Etsy or eBay. I help my son with this, and he makes extra cash every month. Just last week he sold a hat for 25 dollars that he bought for 1 dollar.
@Ollie
Oh wow that’s a great idea, there’s a discount shop near me that sells everything for a dollar! Thanks a lot
